Our award winning in house PADI Platinum Course Director, Jonathan Cross from England, UK, is one of the latest PADI CD's who utilises the most modern teaching techniques and facilities to ensure that every single candidate receives the best possible education. His dedication to his candidates is outstanding - every moment that you are in the IDC, Jonathan will be there to guide you along your way.
And we also have PADI Course Director Tom West. After successfully completing the PADI CDTC in Malaysia in 2010, Tom now join the ranks of PADI Course Director making our Scuba Instructor Training team the strongest IDC team in Indonesia. No other PADI Instructor Development Center in Bali has two PADI Course Directors on full time staff, including a Platinum CD.
Did I say two Course Directors? Well, actually at Blue Season Bali we have THREE FULL TIME PADI Course Directors on staff. Welcome to PADI Course Director Tom Barrett (or Baz) who joined Blue Season Bali in early 2011 and completed his PADI CDTC in March 2011.

PADI IDC - Instructor Team
Of course any good PADI Course Director is backed up by a professional team of PADI Master Instructors and IDC Staff instructors; team work is vital to any professional.
Our professional PADI IDC Instructor Development Team has experience diving and teaching all over the world. We will share our stories, experiences, insights and advice during your extensive PADI IDC here at Blue Season Bali. The five members of our PADI IDC team, including two PADI Course Directors, will teach you the skills and knowledge to confidently begin teaching your own students.
Jonathan - Award Winning PADI Platinum Course Director
PADI Platinum Course Director Jonathan has been diving for over eleven years and has logged
3500+ dives and has trained and team taught over 1000+ PADI certifications. He is seen in the office or on the boat nearly every day and is
actively involved in every PADI IDC here at Blue Season. Jonathan
joined the ranks of PADI Course Directors at the 2009 PADI Course Director
Training Course in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia.
In 2010 Jonathan has been recognised for his commitment to Instructor Development by winning the PADI Instructor Development Award 2010 and being rewarded the Platinum Course Director rating, a rating he now holds once again for 2011.
Jonathan has a commitment to provide every IDC candidate with the time and attention they need in order to develop into PADI Instructors. Going out into the real world can be frightening and the insight that Jonathan provides will help you, the PADI Instructor, succeed in today's diving industry.
Jonathan is one of the owners of Blue Season Bali and is a wealth of information about about the dive industry, employment opportunities and upcoming trends. In his free time, Jonathan enjoys spending time with his lovely wife and two young children.

Most of Europe, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan plus some places I have no memory of.

What is the most stupid thing you have done in your life?
Employ Tom West.
What is the best thing you ever done in your life?
Having kids!
What is your favorite food?
Sushi, and in particularly "Uni" or "Hotate"! Oishii.
What is your favorite movie?
Lord of the Rings - but only when watched as a 3 movie marathon.
What is your most memorable dive, and why?
First dive in Bali at Blue Corner. Ripping current, amazing vis, scared for my life but I had the best Mola Mola encounter ever - my first encounter!
What is your favorite course to teach?
Wreck Specialty Instructor - with all the Instructors around life is so easy, plus I love searching through those dark holes.
Tom - PADI Course Director
Tom is the Manager of Professional Internships
here at Blue Season. He trains divemasters, conducts specialty courses,
and teaches Instructor Development Courses. Tom is in charge of
scheduling / conducting internship courses and preparing interns for the
Instructor Development Course. He is our resident geek and can
answer nearly any question you have about diving physics, physiology and
decompression theory.
His geeky side and passion for precision in diving make him the perfect man to head up our technical exploration team here at Blue Season Bali. Tom has a serious attitude toward technical diving and technical diver training. When it comes to teaching tec, Tom is focused on making divers with which he would want to dive himself.

Nasi goreng ayam yang pedas! Enak sekali! Indonesian spicy fried rice... get it in you.

What is your most memorable dive, and why?
Finding and diving a new cave in NZ. Self explanatory, innit.
What is your favorite course to teach?
Anything involving multiple tanks, big torches and the need for absolute precision! Yep, tec stuff...
Baz - PADI Course Director
Baz is the latest PADI Course Director here at Blue Season. He deals with IDC's all of the time although during some of the breaks you can see him training Divemaster candidates or conducting Technical Dive Courses. His commtment on the IDC's is phenonemal and you will see that baz is there every monent of the day to help you through the Instructor Development Process.
Baz is well known for his ability at training divers; he is so good that even PADI Platinum Course Directors from other companies come to Baz for their technical diver training. Baz also teaches, along with Tom, the only PADI Cavern diver specialty course in Bali.

Why did you become a PADI Instructor?
I wanted to become a PADI Instructor because I loved the life style that was shown to me during my Open Water Course. I have always loved the ocean and from a very early age was always down the beach in England, swimming. The ocean has always fascinated me and I wanted to work where I could be involved in the ocean.
How many countries have you traveled to? and Where?
I went to Bahrain once. In Asia, I have been all over the place. Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia. I did my Open Water course in Australia and then that was it. I was hooked. The best place I lived and dived is Bali. The diversity of life and amazing health of the Penida dive sites is unbelievable.

Passionate. Fun. Bubbly. Sexy Diver
What is the most stupid thing you have done in your life?
Really debatable.
What is the best thing you ever done in your life?
Asked Hien Le to marry me. She said yes!!!
What is your favorite food?
Hien makes some pretty amazing cup cakes.
What is your favorite movie?
Get him to the Greek.
What is your most memorable dive, and why?
A cave dive with Westy and Matt Partridge in Thailand. It gave me whole new respect for diving.

The IDC at Blue Season Bali.
