PADI IDC Bali - How does it work?
You are thinking about the 28 day special offer PADI IDC with Blue Season Bali but you are not sure which option to take - 12 days or 28 days! With such a great value package it is important to know how the whole process will work and then you can contact us if you have more questions about the PADI IDC.
At $1950.00 for the IDC, EFR Instructor, MSDT prep course we are sure you will be emailing us soon to take advantage of such a good offer.
PADI IDC Evolution - eLearning
With the new PADI IDC Evolution, every candidate will have the chance to complete the independent study online with PADI IDC eLearning. This is a fantastic way to get nine of the IDC curriculum out of the way prior to coming to Bali. This means you have less classroom time and more in water time during your IDC.
To enroll for elearning you need to click on this link - http://www.padi.com/elearning/ - and register yourself for an online PADI account. You can then head to Blue Season Bali and sign up for the elearning for a cost of USD320.
If you do not want to complete the elearning component then we will set aside two classroom days at the beginning of the IDC where our IDC Staff instructor will go through the online material with you.
We recommend that anyone who is not up to date with their dive theory, or completed the new PADI Divemaster course (2011), complete the PADI Dive Theory online prior to coming to Bali. You can read more about why Dive Theory online is good for you here - Why Dive Theory Online?
NOTE - If you choose the standard 12 day IDC then you will be required to undertake the PADI IDC eLearning and the PADI Dive Theory online prior to coming to Bali.
PADI IDC - Arriving in Bali
So you get off the plane at the airport in Denpasar ready for your PADI Diving Instructor Course. Our Blue Season Bali driver will pick you up and bring you to the resort where you will be staying. Keep an eye out for our Blue Season Bali bus at the airport.
Before we drop you off at the resort, though, we will bring you by the dive center to meet the team and leave your dive gear in our equipment store.
NOTE - If you choose the standard 12 day IDC then the airport transfer and the accommodation is not included in the price.
PADI Instructor Preparation Course (IPC)
Prior to the start of the PADI IDC you have six (6) days included in your 28 day package that is full of diving, workshops and some superb extras. During these six days you can help our PADI Instructor team on courses and guiding. This will get your dive skills refreshed and comfortable in the water.
During this first week we will include the following:
- AWARE & CV workshops- We will show you how to conduct project AWARE events, such as underwater and beach cleanups and mooring buoy projects. We will also show you how to prepare your CV's for a more effective approach to finding a diving job.
- Intro to Tec Diving - This is another special event; our introduction to tec diving. Get those twin tanks on and learn what all the hype is about.
- Compressor & Equipment Workshops - some more added benefits to help you really enhance your skills and refresh what you may have forgotten over the years.
Open Water Course Workshop - Learn how to actually teach an open water course under our CD's supervision.
No other PADI IDC center comes close to Blue Season Bali
On the first day of the PADI IDC preparation course we will give an orientation for the PADI Instructor Course and then move into six days of relaxed preparation that includes the following:
Confined water skills workshop - You will work with our
experienced PADI instructor development staff to perfect your demonstrations of
the 20 Basic Scuba Skills, rescue skills plus a few additional extra's.- Dive theory review- Your dive theory knowledge will be assessed and reviewed, allowing you to be fully-prepared for your PADI Instructor Development Course.
- PADI Standards and Procedures- We will teach you the overall structure of PADI's Instructor Materials. This gives you a great introduction on how to use the Instructor Manual!
- BBQ- We will also add in the odd BBQ to help your relax before really getting into the IDC. I like this bit the best!
NOTE - If you choose the standard 12 day IDC then the six days of preparation is not included in the price. You would be expected to come ready for the IDC.
Once the PADI IDC preparation course is finished it is now time to move in onto the PADI IDC - Knowledge development
