PADI IDC Bali - Classroom & Knowledge Development
Right from the beginning of the PADI IDC in Bali our PADI Course Director team will start to present the IDC curriculum that you are required to attend in order to complete the PADI IDC.
Our PADI IDC classroom is air conditioned and very spacious in order to allow you to relax and be comfortable during the presentations. Cold drinking water is supplied in the classroom and then tea and coffee facilities are just outside by the swimming pool.
We normally start classroom sessions at 8am and then typically we finish the classroom between 4 and 5pm. There are no long days during our relaxed PADI IDC in Bali. During the 28 day IDC you will also get days off, instead of cramming all the course into nine or ten days we like to spread it out to help you relax and take in what we are teaching you.
If you are choosing the 12 day IDC option then please be prepared to get it in!
PADI IDC Lunches
Each day we give you a really healthy lunch that changes daily. We can cater for all cultures and tastes so please just let us know if you have any special meal requirements and we will make sure your lunch is right for you.
When we go out diving to Nusa Penida we also supply you with lunch on the boat.
PADI IDC Presentations - Your turn!
The really fun part during the PADI IDC classroom sessions is when you have to get up and present your knowledge development presentations. During the PADI IDC you will have to present three prescriptive teaching presentations. Don't worry, we will teach you all about these and guide you through the process of polishing your presentations.
You will be presenting small sections of the range of PADI courses available, such as buoyancy, or sections from Divemaster physics. We give every one a good variety of topics so that you can all learn from each other. You will find that you will begin team building with your fellow IDC candidates.
PADI IDC feedback
For each PADI IDC presentation that you give, our PADI Course Directors will be evaluating your presentation with a view to developing your skills. Each time you will get constructive feedback on your performance so that the next presentation can be even better.
To pass the PADI IDC you need to attain certain scores but we do not focus on scores, we focus on getting your presentations good enough so that when you enter the real world as a PADI Instructor, you will be professional. The rest comes naturally!
PADI IDC Workshops
As part of the knowledge development component we also like to include a presentation workshop to give you some presentation practice; this shows you how easy it really is to stand up in front of people and talk.
During the PADI IDC we will also throw in interesting seminars such as the Business of Diving seminar and Risk management. Every little extra helps on your way to becoming a PADI Instructor. No other PADI IDC in Bali offers as much as Blue Season Bali.
It is now time to get wet so let's move onto the PADI IDC confined water sessions.
