PADI IDC - EFR Instructor Course
Prior to the PADI Assistant Instructor (AI) component we will go through the PADI EFR instructor Course. That is assuming you have not completed this course already.
PADI now requires all new PADI Instructors to be an EFR Instructor prior to being certified as a PADI Instructor. If you already have this rating, and have signed up for the 28 day IDC, then this day is spent relaxing and doing some light study. You can also go diving if you like to one of the many fantastic dive spots in Bali.
Don't forget - the EFR instructor is absolutely FREE with our 28 day PADI IDC package for only USD1950.00. If you are taking the standard IDC then you will need to pay extra for the EFR Instructor Course.
The EFR instructor course shows you how to teach the EFR and Care For Children (CFC) course to your students. It consists of a few classroom presentations and then some role playing where you will deliver the skills from the EFR and CFC course. You will act as an Instructor and student during this really fun course. The EFR instructor manual and application fee is paid by you, unless of course you are on one of Instructor Internships.
Once the EFR Instructor course is complete we then it is time to move onto the next step - the PADi Instructor Development Course.
PADI IDC - Mock IE
Before we send you off to the PADI IE, we need to be sure that you have mastered all of the info. Another added extra that we give you during the PADI IDC in Bali is the PADI Mock IE.
Here you will go through a two day evaluation process that imitates the real PADI IE. It will prepare you for the real IE and also allow the PADI Course Directors to be sure that you are ready for life as a PADI Instructor.
Just like in the real PADI IE, you will give a knowledge development presentation, confined and open water presentation, skills circuit and you will complete the PADI dive theory and standards exam. We like to make this as real as possible so that you know exactly where you stand. It will also give you the confidence to go into the real PADI IE knowing you are ready.
