PADI IDC - Confined Water Training
During the twelve day PADI IDC we get you to practice your diving skills in confined water in order to really polish your skills. If you have undertaken the six days of preparation included in the 28 day program then your skills should already by very good.
As part of the PADI IDC you are required to learn how to teach in confined water. This involves learning the techniques to deliver a skill to your future student divers in a relaxed and professional manner. The skills that you learn could be from the PADI open Water Diver course or the PADI Rescue Diver Course.
During the classroom presentations we will teach you how to construct your confined water presentations that involve a briefing, demonstration, problem solving, control, delivery and debriefing. Then it is time to get wet and try it yourself.
Our PADI IDC pool is located 2 meters from the classroom. This offers so much convenience and allows us to save time so that you can spend more time practicing and less time traveling.
PADI Instructor Confined Water Presentations
Prior to the start of the confined water sessions you will always have a briefing from the PADI Course Director; it is important that we have a focus for the session.
You and your fellow candidates will then proceed to deliver your confined water presentation. You will be the Instructor and you will also have a fellow candidate acting as your PADI certified Assistant. The remaining candidates will then act as your students.
This is where we have loads of fun as you demonstrate the skills and then try to solve the problems that your students encounter whilst maintaining control and ensuring that standards are met. It is one of the most enjoyable parts of the PADI IDC in Bali.

PADI Confined Water Evaluation
As with all aspects of your PADI IDC with Blue Season Bali, your PADI Course Director will be watching closely and evaluating your performance.
Once you have finished your presentation the Course Director will give you some useful feedback on how to improve your presentation for next time. Remember the PADI IDC is developmental. It takes time to get really good at the skills so you need patience and some effort.
PADI Confined Water Workshops
When you undertake the 28 day Special PADI IDC at Blue Season Bali you will get a complete workshop on how to conduct confined water training on the PADI Open Water Course. Our IDC Staff team will show you how to teach the entire confined water skills which will give you the edge when teaching your first Open Water Course.
Another extra that we give you at Blue Season Bali we conduct a PADI Rescue Diver workshop where we teach you how to demonstrate the main skills from the PADI Rescue Diver Course. This added preparation puts you in a good position when it comes to teaching in the real world.
You will also get to participate in the PADI Discover Scuba Diving workshop that will show you how to handle real beginner divers.
Once the PADI IDC confined water sessions are finished it is now time to move in onto the PADI IDC Open Water Presentations
